Just today I realized that my HTC Desire backside speaker died. I have no clue why. Headset works. Speaker on the frontside also works so I can still place calls and answer the phone.
This phone is only 3 weeks old!!
I tried to diagnose the error on my own but failed:
I saw quite a few posts on the net about headset jacks with defective contacts. Mostly related to other Android hardware. Not my problem.
Did the selftest with the *#*#3424#*#* code. No backside speaker sounds.
I made a factory reset. Did not work.
So I brought it back to my telephone provider. Will get a replacement tomorrow.
Is this just a bad coincidence or am I (once again) an early adopter?
