Purpose of a train station ?

So, what is the purpose of a train station?

1. You want to get to your destination very fast (trains).
2. You want to know how to reach your destination and buy a ticket.(timetable, ticket machine).
3. You don't want to carry your luggage over miles (elevator, stairs)

This is the purpose of a train station.

What you don't want is:

1. Unfriendly personnel (Man: "I don't know where a ticket machine is.")
2. Ticket machines far away
3. Timetables not visible
4. Stupid shops all over the place but the one you need is not there
5. Long (endless) corridors to walk.

So - WELCOME TO BERLIN.

What a shitty train station the german rail has built here. Useless. Unfriendly. Bombastic moster of steel, concrete and glas. Even the local shopworkers are unhappy. I will NEVER ever go to Berlin by train again.
